Has anyone ever used a subliminal CD designed to improve self-esteem? It seems like it'd be something I could listen to in the car driving to work. If so, can you recommend any specific ones? Thanks.

I have. I also use a lot of Louise Hay's books and affirmations. I had a lot of trouble this summer and I finally just decided one day to start going to a 30 - 40 minute walk everyday. While I am walking I say to myself the positive affirmations from her book..."you can heal your life". I love them and am feeling much better. It took a couple of weeks but all of sudden one morning when I came back from my walk, I realized how beautiful the flowers looked in our backyard. I had been taking care of them all summer but was lost in my own little world. It seemed like a miracle. I also started taking some liquid vitamins which seemed to work much better than pills. It was a long, long summer. While I have suffered with anxiety and some depression, I have never felt this bad. I am glad it's gone and I am going to keep up my exercise program and positive thinking plus I still do go through Lucinda's program too.

There have been a lot of recommendations for different kinds of CDs here including the subliminal ones. I can't remember all of them, but you could try searching some of the older posts. Someone on here a long time ago had used a subliminal tape for self esteem and said it worked very well. It may have been by Shad Helmstetter PHD.????

I haven't used subliminal, but I have used guided imagery, which is sort of the same thing except you hear the message. I'm told it works the same way, but I don't really know as I haven't used the subliminal. I get my guided imagery from www.healthjourneys.com and they also have subliminal there too. If I ever do use subliminal, I would trust this site. You can request their catalog, it's very helpful to see all of their products. I have used "Relieve Stress" and "Healthful Sleep", both by Beleruth Naparstek. There is a portion on the "Relieve Stress" cd that is positive affirmations. All the portions of this cd are extremely helpful.

Good luck,
Eileen :)
