I've been asked to travel for work. From Ontario to Texas. I've flown before. I don't have a fear of flying - it's safer than driving a car. I'm not worried about take off, landing or even crashing. What I am anxious about is space and then lack of it and not being able to move, of the seat belt not fitting me or not fitting into the seat. Or embarassing myself with not fitting and the space I take up and someone else being too close for too long. I have until the end of June to prepare myself but I'm so anxious it's affecting the work I need to do to get ready. I'm working on week 3 - I've cut down on sugars and caffine. I know I need to excercise but I can't sleep and I don't have the energy to move. Does anyone have any suggestions with regards to flying and space anxiety. Is there a term for that?
Thanks

I don't have the term for what you're asking. But, I'm very afraid to fly but sometimes I have to. I have put the relaxation on my IPOD and it helped to keep me seated and not think about the space. Good luck.
