I made the mistake of telling a coworker that I reported a previous employer of pirating software. Now this coworker is trashing me to other coworkers saying I can't be trusted. She has called me a nut phscyo who is in need of a shrink in the past. She got a way with it; I forgave her. But my boss singles me out not to make trouble!

I am sick over this!

I completely understand how stressful and anxiety producing the situation could make someone feel. I've had similar things happen to me. I've learned through experience that you can't really make close friends at work. You can be friendly-but you're there to work. Keep the work environment professional and your free time can be spent being personal with carefully selected friends. Focus work time on doing the best job possible and learning as much as you can. You can't undo the situation at work and you can't control this mean spirited person. Learn from the experience and move on. Remember the lesson but don't dwell on the event. Take care.

Yes, you're right, wait till after work with "carefully selected friend" to confide in. Unfortunately, I don't have many of them. I guess that's why they are carefully selected.
This person is mean. She has trashed me. She is very very low class. I hate to say it but it's true. I hope and pray she gets fired.
