I find myself getting lightheaded when I'm standing talking to someone. I feel like I need to lean on something to stable myself. I'm not feeling anxious before it happens. I have been feeling anxity about it now wondering what is wrong. I'm not sure this is anxity because I don't feel anxious just lightheaded. Anyone have this happen to them?

Just an idea. Are you dehydrated? Sometimes, even if you are getting enough fluids, you are dehydrated. You can try the sport drinks such as Gatorade (what you need might be in these drinks). If these don't help you with this sensation, you really need to see your doctor ASAP.

Vicky,

You may want to consider eliminating the possibility of a physical disorder. Have you had any problems with your blood sugar (high or low), blood pressure, ear infection, low blood (anemia), etc. Visit your doctor first, and then work on your anxiety.

Good luck,
Vicky

I saw a Dr. about 5 mo.s ago had all kind of test. I even went to an ENT to get my ears checked everything was fine. I do drink water all day everyday. I'm so stressed out over this now. Thank you for your replies.

Hello!I can relate.I have this happen alot.If you've been to the Dr. and everything checked out ok it's more than likely anxiety.I relate it to self doubt and feeling trapped even though I'm not always real anxious at the time.I hope that this puts your mind at ease.I know that it's a hard thing to go through but it's something that we have to work at.It's like a bad habit.I don't know how it is for you but with me it's like I'm expecting to feel that way because it usually always happens whenever I'm standing talking to someone.Take care and God bless.

A similar thing used to happen to me, just standing in the hallway talking with someone. I found it more likely to happen if several people where there. The other odd thing was it also happen with friends and people I new quite well. I'd often make an excuse to get away from the situation. It stopped happening a few weeks into the program, for me I'm certain it was anxiety.

Fearnot and larrito, Thank you so much I do feel better knowing I'm not alone, I'm sorry you all are going through this to. I got my self so worked up over this, thinking something must be wrong. At 2pm I was due to take .25mg xanax and I took 1 1/2 .25mg. I had to drive to town (1/2 hour drive) to take my son's friend home. So I wanted to make sure I would be ok to drive. Well when I got there I stood and talked to the little boys mom and nothing no lightheadedness. So I'm thinking yes it is anxity because taking the xanax helped. Now I'm mad at myself for giving in and taking the meds. I have been weaning myself off of the xanax and I feel like this is a set back. Oh well tomarrow is a new day, and I'm ready to put this behind me. Thank You all for your time. God Bless
