okay I know this is not all about anxiety but related.my dog that is about 8 or 9 yrs old has gotten to where she can't walk she started with her back legs unsteady the next morning she could't walk at all.we took her to the vet and she thought it was a vertabrade I can't spell, she gave her some predisone this has been about 10 days she got up and walked a little but she fell she seems to not be able to control her front legs I googled the internet one thing talked about tick paralysis I asked the vet about it she did't think so it acted just like the way they described it but I couldn't find a tick on her any where and it said when you got the tick off they recovered.I love this dog so much she came to my house the year my daughter married and she stay she stays outside she thinks she owns the place barking at anyone the enven just turns in our driveway.I hate to lose her and seeing her not be able to walk is so depressing she has to drag herself and she is getting places on her legs from rubbing on the concrete as she moves her self like I said this is not totally about anxiety just something that is increasing it has any one see this in their animal I guess I need to call the vet back

It is so heartbreaking to see your pet ill and suffering. This really is about anxiety. You need to give yourself some good self-talk. Unfortunetly we usually out live our pets.

Calm down and think about what is best for your dog. We had 3 dogs and they all had to be put down in a period of 1 year. With our last one, our beloved Spot, we had the vet come to our home. He gave Spot a tranquilizer. He fell gently to sleep in his dog bed. After that the vet gave him the meds for him to pass on. It was very peaceful. You will mourn but you will handle it. When you are ready you can welcome a new pet into your home and it will be joyous. This is life- it seems unfair. Be strong. Use your tapes. Call a friend - keep busy. Play happy music. Watch a happy movie.

I'll be thinking of you.

I live in Oklahoma and I go to a chiropractor who also treats dogs. There was this one little dachsund that jumped off of a truck and injured its back and couldnt use its hind legs. With treatment he is getting better. I dont know if chriropractors every where treat dogs but you could call and find out. If so It coul really help her.
