Most mornings I wake up with a fast heart rate. I feel like I'm struggling to breathe and my heart is beating fast, prob in the 100-110bpm. I know that's not super fast compared to when I've had panic attacks.

I was wondering if anyone else had this symptom and how you get through it.

It's to the point where the first thing I think about when I wake up is "is my heart racing" and I'm sure that's part of the problem.

Thanks!

Yes! I have mornings like that sometimes.
It's the anticipation of the day. Being scared
about what is going to happen, if you're going
to feel well, etc; -the Scary thoughts and things
that were on your mind the night before.

I found that the relaxation cd helps me to clear my mind right before I doze off and it helps me to
not wake up overwhelmed.
Keep a journal; write down what you were worrying about just before bed or during that day - be positive and change those negative thoughts to positive reinforcements.

A lot of it also may be due to the fact that our adrenaline levels are supposedly at their highest early in the morning hours. I get this also and after I'm up and moving around and eat something it starts to dissipate. I tell myself now that it is my body's way of telling me it's time to get up and start the day. Even if it's 4:00AM.
