What are some of your goals for 2009.... I know we all share some of the same and i thought it would be encouraging to see just what they are!

As for me, I know 2009 is going to bring me a new lease on life. This program - in two weeks - has helped immensly, and i have so much left to finish i cannot imagine the strides I will make as I get through it further. 2009 means to me, Never a Moment unpassed with my kids. I want to live IN EVERY MOMENT. SOmething I missed this year living in my head with all these thoughts, anxiety and panic. I want to feel the wind - really feel it. RUn around in the rain and not worry about pnemonia!!! Turn off the lights and enjoy peace and quiet - a quiet mind. Be a better mother - a mother that accepts normal stresses and teaches her kids how to overcome anything.

Have a happy new year. All of you have inspired me and have helped me through this. more than you know. Let's keep on doing it in 2009!!!!

Great thread.

Goal 1# Go on vacation for the first time and get out of ontario for the first time. I'm thinking maybe the Dominican Republic.

Goal 2# Write a letter to my sister and start to restablish communication with her.

Goal 3# Cut out dairy from my diet and eat more healthier.

Goal 4# Spend at least 1 month getting myself to bed before 9am.

Goal 5# Improving my singing skills.

Goal 6# Start practicing Nicherian Buddhism.

Goal 7# Incorporate stretching into my daily routine.

Goal 8# Writing my insights into an insight book.

Goal 9# Become more compassionate with others and help them even more than this year.

Goal 10# Get into gymnastics.

Goal 11# Get back into swimming.

I think that's a good start for myself.

I was just trying to think about what things I would like to accomplish this year and beside this program and changing my train of thought....I may want to take a college course to keep my teaching certificate active. I would like to go on a vacation somewhere. There seems to be a lot of stuff I want to do - I guess I need to think about it a little more and make my list. But as I was thinking about this...a quote popped into my mind that I have at the end of my email messages - it says this "One is not born into the world to do everything, but to do something..." - Henry David Thoreau. Just wanted to share :) I like this quote - I remind myself of it when I get way overwhelmed with things at work. If I only get 3 out of 10 things crossed off my list, well, I did the best I could. I am looking forward to this change of positive thinking in 2009. Happy New Year!

1) Go back to school (after 25 years) and change careers. (I'm not sure what though)

2) Improve relationships with family and friends.....keep in touch more.

3) Stick with this program all the way thru (I just started week 12 today)

I'm sure there will be more as 2009 gets closer.

1. Make some changes, mainly getting my mother to move out of my house.
2. Define my relationship with my significant other. I think we both need this.
3. Take better care of myself; through this program, through work and health wise - in all possible ways.
4. Learn that I don't have to have complete control in all areas of my life.
5. Work on better communication skills, I seldom speak my mind or open up to others.
