Hey,
Even if you had blood work done and your sodium was fine it may very from time.Next time you get the feeling try taking in some salt.See if that helps. It's also common during menstrual cycle time that Hgb levels and sodium shift,so a little salt should help. Also, rule out inner ear problems.
Sincerely,Sit

If we are anything alike, when you get something that concerns you in your head, its plays over and over like a broker record.. Obsessive thinking.. What seems to help me get throught those rough times, is to grad a lesson and listen to it again or get youself involved in a project to keep you mind focused on something other than whats really bothering you and it always seems to go away.. Tell yourself its just the anxiety and it to will pass. Think positive as much as you can, positive affirmations, and self-talk.
Good luck and stay strong:)

I have also noticed when I get busy doing something else that I am alot less anxious. Sometimes it stays with me a while but it will eventually go away. If it don't I try to lie down and close my eyes and then I feel better once I relax. I am almost always dizzy and lightheaded and I get very scared.

Use the calming breathing technique... but what I found more useful is to breathe in counting 1001 1002 1003 hold for 1001 1002 1003 1004 breathe out for 1001 1002 1003 1004. (don't focus on doing it perfectly - as we always do!- practice when you are not anxious and then when you do feel dizzy, it will come more easily.)The dizziness and lightheadedness is mainly caused by a low level of carbon dioxide. so holding your breath and breathing out slowly should help....

Maybe just get checked out. Could be good old fashion inner ear/vertigo thing, and thats enough to make anyone nervous. Once checked out, if all is okay, then chalk it up to one of anxiety's WONDERFUL symptoms. Also, even if not vertigo, your MD may be able to give you something for a few days to help with the dizzyness. Best wishes, keep us posted.

Pills are not the answer for everything. The relaxing breathing technique is a good idea. Also , when we are anxious and lightheaded there's usually something that's bothering us that we are not addressing. Try journaling your thoughts, even if the thing that's bothering you is the fact that you're lightheaded, and when journaling change your negative thoughts around to positive. You'll feel better which will make you feel calmer, which will help with the lightheadness.
