I work FT at a corporate office (been on medical leave for a few weeks and start back Monday) and part time at ER Vet Hospital. I've always loved working with animals and have decided that eventually I want to go back to school to become a vet nurse. I got a call from my boss at my vet job who said she has a full time position opening up. It would be 10 hr days, 4 days a week. I would work 9a-7p, M, Th, Sa, Su. I would be a superivsor on the weekend shift and then do recp work on M/Th. This would also open up the opportunity for me to train to become a vet assitant while I attend school.
I'm not too thrilled to work on the weekends, however, one of my problems with my anxiety is I hate driving during morning and evening rush hour. Working the weekends would eliminate that for me so the only time I would need to drive in it would be M/Th mornings.
I'm not happy about returning to work on Monday. While I LOVE the people I work with I don't like the job itself. I don't want to run away from the problem but at the same time I don't want to stay somewhere that doesn't make me happy. The FT job is closer to my home then the PT. I do deal with agoraphobia from time to time, which I'm dealing with now, so I think choosing a job further away from home would be better for me, get me more out of my comfort area.
I have a lot of decisions to make here. Has anyone else transferred jobs and felt better?
