Consider:

If you suffer anxiety to the point it is limiting you from fully living & enjoying your life, what were you able to do before the anxiety became so debilitating?

If someone could wave a magic wand and take away your anxiety today, what could or would you do? What would your life be without anxiety?

No takers?

I'll answer my own post then.

I used to be able to go much anywhere by plane, train or automobile. I could go into any restaurant, movie house, mall or department store. I could fly to far off destinations and be comfortable at a beach, on a mountain top or hiking through the woods.

I realize now how much of my life has given way to my fears. My world has shrunk and I don't feel the kind of carefree sponteneity I used to enjoy.

Whatever happened to put me into this state doesn't matter any more. I am committed to overcoming my anxiety. If someone could magically just take it away, I would be free to do all the things I used to do- like a lot of people do everyday.

What's stopping me? Indeed, a good question...

Well I've always had panic disorder but not as bad as it is now. I played College football and pro football arena. I was able to fly across the country. Now Ican't stand the thought of flying. I was able to travel long distances by myself now I can't go beyond 50 miles without freaking out.
