Tough One! here goes..

I feel sorry for these people. I am strong. I do not let people affect me. I am calm, relaxed and grateful for employment. It is just a job. I am going to let it affect me less and just do what I am there to do. It pays the bills. My life starts after work. Its all good. I am going to get into my safe place inside myself put my bubble up and not let anyone affect me.

Practise being less affected and more effective, concentrate on thinking about how much energy you are wasting by dwelling on these minor issues. In your head strip away all of your coworkers, thoughts, feelings and enviroment, just do the job at hand and take the pay cheque at the end of the week.

I struggle with this daily also, I am going to reread this post a couple times today :)

Good luck! (we need it)

I've been there with this one! The only thing I can think of is to knock out the word "hate" and make the statement milder. "My boss is irritating me this morning but this happens sometimes." I notice when I stop using the word "hate" it deintensifies my feelings. I've really had to work on this one.

Picture your boss as a baby or young child. Write a list of at least one good quality for each person. Yeah, they may have 15 bad qualities, but I'll bet you could come up with at least one positive. Then try the great suggestions offered by these other folks.

Thank YOU SO much!! They are irritating me today
and I really wish I didn't have to go to work.
The commute, this job is a big stressor for me.
BUt I will try to be less affected and more resilient to negative thoughts!!
I'll grin and bear it and do my work. I think it would be a lot better if I had an enclosed office so I can shut them out. LOL

Thanks I should rephrase it but that's how I feel. Actually they aren't SO bad, I 'tolerate'
it. < see I made a positive statement!

That's a great idea. I can probably think of ONE
good attribute. LOL If I can concentrate long
enough thru the LOUD chatter.

HI DebDeb.

Hate is a strong word. To get past this anxiety and depression you have to really stop using that word. You can "not Like" them, But do you truly HATE them?

Hi DeeDee

You are right that is a very harsh word. OK
they annoy me and I wish they would shut up.
OK I'll try to be positive by saying they are
good workers and know their jobs well.
