Hi I havn't been on here in a long time...I use to come on as Soprano and then I used this name the last time I came back....

Well my anxiety has acted up again....this time...uncontrollable tummy spasms. This isn't dry heaves...but it makes me feel like I could get sick and sometimes I get a funny feeling on my back that comes with this surge feeling when it happens...like a surge of sickness.

Sometimes now just while out in the car...just walking up the street I get it now and I never use to. I have that feeling they talk about on the CD's about the safe place getting smaller and smaller...it's not really that I won't go out because of it but i'm always hesitant now....and I have no idea what this is.....it doesn't even feel like the whole stomach spasms....just a feeling at the top of it....and it's like a muscle pushes in...it isn't that fluttery muscle twitch everyone may get in their arm etc This is different...it's really started scaring me...to the point I wonder if I should have an upper GI like when I was 11 (except back then I was getting literally sick). I'm going to be 27 on the 15th. I've had the program since June 2001 and am beginning to go through it again because my anxiety has started taking on new forms. For about 6 years it was gagging when I'd feel sick...now I'm getting spasms and I hardly ever seem to gag.

I was getting an eye twitch for almost a year and that seems to have disappeared too. I'm very confused...does anyone get the tummy spasms I described above?

Hi Krista
sorry this is bugging you and getting your spirits down. I get that too sometimes and I think some of it is nerves which causes my
acid reflux to act up. So I keep some mints with me or some chewable antacids. Apples help settle your tummy too. I have been trying to stay on top of my relaxed breathing. Sometimes I will catch myself really tense.I will notice my shoulders hurt and my neck and jaw from tension. So I stop, relax and breathe and it ALWAYS helps..every time :)
Take care and hope you feel better soon,
Jill~
