I've done really well for weeks but had a little episode on Friday...kids were out of town and wife was working. I felt desperately out of control on my own and needed a "safe person". I haven't quite had this before so it surprised me and was quite intense. How do I make myself my own safe person? Tips? Are there some good exposures to try that will help with this? Tips please!!! Thanks!!

Irish89,
It helps to talk to yourself positively and truthfully! People do not realize the power behind this! I tell you the truth though, it is one of the most IMPORTANT keys to recovery!
Many people have a fear of being alone. I struggled with this myself many years ago and It takes practice feeling comfortable in your own skin and being your own "safe person".
Be good to yourself! There is a book called "what to say when you talk to yourself" by Shad Helmstetter... be sure to check it out at your local library!
