Today i was told that a good friend of mine was on life support and they were pulling the plug tomorrow. I found out yesterday she was in ICU but not that it was to this extent. She is much older than me, we worked together and she retired last March. She was like my 2nd mother, always giving me advice. Its just soo sad, that i can't stop crying. She worked soo hard to be able to retire and enjoy it, and now she is pretty much gone. I have had people I know die, but I have never lost someone close. She called me 3 weeks ago and i never made the time to call her back.

Life is short, please let your loved ones and friends know how much they mean to you!

That is so sad, Diggy. We all have regrets when someone we love dies. I am sure that your friend knew how much you cared for her. We can all profit by your advice---one never knows when we may see or speak to someone for the last time. It is a very hurtful experience, but you can honor your friend and make yourself feel better by being as helpful to someone else as she was to you. YOu will carry a part of her within your heart forever, and in time the pain will be replaced by only memories of the good times which you enjoyed together. If you can't seem to stop crying, then don't. Allow yourself to grieve fully for this loss.
