Just thought I'd post something that really inspired and gave me hope. I was watching an amazing program on Quantum Physics. I don't remember the name of it or what channel it was on. Maybe Discovery or PBS. There was an experiment done on plain distilled water. They poured the water in to seperate containers and labeled them on the outside with words like "love" and "this is Poison" After letting tha labeled water sit for a while, they took samples and looked at each specimen under the microscope. The "love" water developed beautiful snowflake images and the one labeled "this is poison" developed bacteria images. They believe that since we are made of 90% water, we can affect our bodies by the way we think of or label ourselves. A very powerful thought to me!

Oh and this would go along with that concept (I thought I would share this):

"Positive Thinking!
By BB Lee

"So a man thinketh, So a man becometh." Think about it. Think about all the times you believed you couldn't accomplish a feat, task, or situation... and of course you didn't. Now, think about all the times you were on your game. Your insides filled with self-confidence. You knew you could do it. You were thinking like a winner! And sure enough, you succeeded. Just like you knew you would.

I remember all the "nay-sayers" who thought, my friend would never make the track team when we were in Junior High School. He never thought for a moment, he wouldn't. He made the team with 2 seconds to spare. Then there were the "ill wishers" who laughed when he said he was going to attend college. He never thought for a moment he couldn't accomplish this. He was accepted at a local college and graduated with a 3.5 average.

Later on, after working at a gosh awful boring job, he decided to learn how to use computers. "Oh computers are too complicated," his supervisor admonished. "Stick to accounting." He soon discovered computers were actually easier to master than he thought. He was the first in the department to use the new desk top PC's. This was over a decade ago. Soon, he was training all the new employee's (and some of the old one's) on how to operate the new computers.

Then, another brilliant idea hit. His accounting department was downsized. He was one of the first fired. Now was the time to pursue his dream. He would pursue a writing career. "It will never work." Screamed the "naysayers." He had written a few articles in college and several short stories. And knew he enjoyed writing. To everyone's surprise(not mine) he sold a dozen short stories, a dozen or so articles, and authored 3 Novels, published a children's book. Won a writing contest. Now, he is a free-lance writer, working out of the home, and living his dream.

What is the moral behind this article? Never listen to the ill wishers, the naysayers, the negative people, who scoff at your visions, ideals, goals about starting a home business. Think Positive.

And of course there are the ill wishers, naysayers, and negative people who will say that concept is far too simple. Thinking positive. Well, sometimes life is...just that simple.

Think Positive! "

That's great and thanks for sharing this. After learning CBT I am convinced of the power of how we process things creating our reality. It has changed my life for the better. There was a movie several years called on quantum physics that was fascinating called "what the bleep do we know" you may want to check it out. Thx again!

I'm replying to myself because I forget to ask for notifications of reply on my previous post and could not figure out how to edit that post to add them; sorry....

Wow that is very interesting! Mythbusters did something similar with plants. They had plants they played nice music, talked positive to and plants they played violent music and yelled at for a certain amount of time. The plants that had all the negative talk and music did much more poorly in their growth cycle than the ones that were spoken to with love. Guess that old saying "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" may have a bit of truth to it :)

Searching4Answers, you might be interested in picking up two books by Masaru Emoto. One is called "The Hidden Messages in Water" and the other is "The True Power of Water". I think this is the researcher you are talking about.

Was the program "What the Bleep Do We Know?" by any chance? I have it on DVD and watch it periodically as a "refresher". Cool stuff.
