Hi. I was wondering if anybody could let me know if this program has actually helped them. Ive had anxiety and depression everyday for the past five years. Its now to the point where its affecting my life in a very negative way. Im very young and I dont want my life to be like this anymore. Im not to keen with doctors- they only want to prescribe you medication which to me covers everything up. I want to heal myself naturally. The program sounds great, but I can't really afford it. So once again, has it worked for anyone???

I feel for me it was well worth the money. I know it has also helped a lot of other people here. The program is not just listening to the CDs. The journaling and work assignments are crucial for a positive recovery and making needed changes in thinking. I've seen that other people have made payment arrangements with the Center, so you might try contacting them about this. They also have an online program, or some kind of shortened and condensed version, that you might want to look into.

Hi Twinkle:
The program has helped me. I am off the prescription meds that I had taken for 6 years.
I feel better.
I can drive my car now without panic.
I couldn't afford it either but I did because of the alternative. (I'm in debt a little from it, but that is okay).
Because it helped me, I bought a set for my daughters.
I hope you get better soon.
Good luck.

Twinkletoes,
Yes, this program worked for me. more that I would have ever imagined possible.
For over 30 years I lived with panic attacks, high levels of anxiety and bouts of depression. I became agoraphobic and my condition started to adversely affect my physical health in several ways.
Today, I feel healthier, have more stamina, more energy, no more panic attacks, my anxiety level is generally at a low, even keel, (life is never completely void of anxiety) I'm no longer agoraphobic, I think positively on a regular basis, my marriage is healthier, --
Basically I'm much more content and peaceful. I have these tremendous coping skills which allow me to really feel at peace with who I am and enabled me to finally live in the precious, present moment. I don't dwell on the past, I don't worry so much, and I honestly, simply, have more fun. I enjoy life more. I love and respect myself.
That's only part of how much this program worked for me. It would take a book to fill in the rest.
I worked hard at the program and it worked for me.
I really wanted to change and kept working at it until I did. I still work at it and smile every day with the knowledge that now I know how to make the changes and can and do.
Go for it.
It's a natural process like you're looking for and it works and it's affordable.
You can make payments and StressCenter can work out a payment plan with you.
Not sure what your financial situation is but I've generally found in life that when I really wanted something badly enough, I found a way to rearrange my priorities, cut back on useless expenses, make more money with a side job (years ago, as a single parent, I cleaned offices one day a week between my regular job schedule) and made it happen so that I could afford whatever it was.
Hugs and prayers for you.

One way to think about it: how much money have you spent so far on copays, prescription medications, doctor visits, etc, versus the cost of the program. For me it was a no-brainer.

I don't have enough words in my vocabularly, to accurately convey or quantify, just how much this program has helped me.
I could sound like I'm preaching CHURCH when I talk about this program.
First, let me say this, the program works, when the individual works the program, STRICTLY AS INSTRUCTED.
I'm not ignorant to the fin'l woes many of us face, esp when anxiety disorder instantaneously embeds itself in our lives. My anxiety disorder forced my hand & inhibited my ability to be gainfully employed for several yrs. My last salary, right b/4 anxiety disorder triggered, was $43,000.00 per year. However, there is no price tag we can put on
ourselves + our quality of life + our mental/emotional/physical/spiritual well being. You can't possibly quantify it's worth - because it's priceless. As a result, whatever we need to do to maintain that (or get that back to FEEL BETTER) - is priceless & should be all our priorities. You take away the many a frivilous things we all spend money on & YOU FIND A WAY for the PROGRAM + you put in a little extra effort in the fin'l home budgets we all have & YOU FIND A WAY for the PROGRAM + the family unit as a whole puts in a collective effort/collective extras (part-time jobs & 2nd jobs), so that YOU CAN PURCHASE the PROGRAM. As contrite as it may sound, WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY. It may not be easy, it may take some work & sacrifice, but YOU ARE WORTH IT & SURE AS A PIG IN POOPY, YOUR MENTAL & EMOTIONAL HEALTH ARE BEYONDDDDDDDDDDDDDD WORTH IT.
I know the initial cost of the program may initially create a moment or 2 of apprehension, "what if its a gimick? what if it doesn't really work?" ....... Research this program on line = google it = read these forums for a long period of time & you will see many a folks who have benefited fr this program - simply by the words the participants type on their postings. That's the thing, this program isn't a gimick - it's not there to try to rip you off - it really is a tool to help you help yourself heal/grow/evolve/change/RECOVER. This PROGRAM has a SOLID reputation, established ONLY by the successful recovery of hundreds of thousands of folks who were also in the pits of emotional hell. I'm talking about people all around the world. Lucinda & her employees didn't pay them to speak out & for THIS PROGRAM - no. Rather, they willfully speak out (including myself) out of humbled gratitude & appreciation - having come out on the other side - RECOVERED. It equates to our GIVING BACK.
When my anxiety disorder triggered, I was officially diagnosed w/: anxiety disorder + panic attacks + PTSD (fr 3 different things). In addition, I was also experiencing severe sleep deprivation - w/ my averaging only 1-2 hrs of sleep per every 24 hrs. I was unable to work & became totally dependant on my husband. I wasn't living, I was existing. Initially, for me, I required therapy w/ a psychiatrist (due to experiences in yrs gone by). I required an anxiety med & 2 sleep aids. I was literally 2 steps away fr being put in a psych hospital - that is not joke. It couldn't have gotten any worse for me than it had gotten back in 2005. I did what I needed to do:
I strictly attended therapy for every single scheduled weekly appt + let go & gave it to God + journaled + researched = reading 16+ books on anxiety disorder/depress to become both informed & as a result, empowered + I PURCHASED LUCINDA'S PROGRAM in & started it in NOV 2006 & COMPLETED IT the 1st time in March 2007. I wanted to feel better & as a result, I was WILLING to do whatever it took to get me there.
Fast forward to now, Sept 19, 2008: I am recovered fr anxiety disorder + I haven't taken an anxiety med or sleep aid in almost 2 yrs (it will be yrs in DEC) + I have changed my eating pattern/quality/quality of food & started exercising (lifestyle change) & joined WEIGHT WATCHERS = I've lost 70lbs & have gone fr size 22 - to size 4 + my depress med has been lowered several times as I successfully recover fr depress - w/ me being on HALF of the lowest possible dosage (my therapist & I both told eachother - I said it & he agreed - OUR TIME TOGETHER WILL SOON COME TO AN END - FOR I WON'T NEED HIM ANYMORE) + I've returned to working USA = for the past 6mths I've been gainfully employed FULL-TIME + I'm much more calm/self assured/confident/emotionally controlled + I am much better @ managing life's stresses & my anger = I KNOW HOW TO PLOP A SQUAT - CHILL OUT -VEG OUT & LIVE IN THE MOMENT: heck, for my 40th birthday in Aug, I even got a TATTOO on my right shoulder CARPE DIEM (Latin) = SIEZE THE DAY! I'm lucky I even have my ears pierced - but my tatoo was strictly for me - my reward/award/reminder of where I've been, where I am, & what it took to get here. I have joy in my heart/soul/spirit again - not some faked smile forced on my face - I am laughing again - you know that good kind of laughing hard that has you almost wet yourself & you need to run to the ladies room? Every day, I continue to grow - that is a good thing. Gone are the days, where I felt as though I was only EXISTING - cause now I am LIVING.
Your friend,
LENORE

Thank you all for responding. You guys have been very helpful. I now feel a little more confident about purchasing the program knowing that it does work. I was worried that it was a gimmick and did'nt want to get my hopes up and put all my energy into it for nothing.
Thank you,
Twinkletoes

My opinion, based on my experience with this program, is YES. No, this is not a gimmick. It is a carefully designed treatment plan, which integrates a handful of the most effective forms of therapy, and then guides you right through your own path to recovery. The trick here is that you MUST FOLLOW the program. There are CD's, coaching DVD's, and homework books. There are guidelines to walk you through your day. If you do what it tells you, you will make more progress (in my opinion) during the 15 weeks it will take than if you went to therapy for years. It teaches you how to stop doing what doesn't work, and then shows you the techniques. And, the results are your own self improvement. You will notice.
