Hello,
I've noticed that i get severe dry mouth when i get anxious, nervous. Then for the next couple of days it seems a little dry but not nearly as bad. I went to my doc and she said i just had dry mouth. Could be severe anxiety...seems like i focus on my mouth being dry all the time now and i dont know if thats causing my mouth to be dry... please note i am not on any meds except a prescription nose spray for sinuses!
Does this happen to anyone else?

I get a very dry mouth too when I'm anxious. It's annoying but I keep a mini water bottle with me when I know I'm going somewhere where I'll probably get anxious. You can get smaller versions of poland spring water bottles and just keep it with you. I found that when I get really anxious I swallow air a lot and that's why my mouth gets very dry. I don't know if you do that, and that's why your mouth gets dry. Getting a dry mouth is one of the symptoms of anxiety though so i would try to take sips of water and distract yourself.

lizikins is right about carrying a water bottle around. When I get anxious I get dry mouth too. I have a bottle of water with me all the time. I get dry mouth when I drive, seems to be my trigger.

I ALSO GET DRY MOUTH,DURING THE DAY BUT MOSTLY DURING THE NIGHT. I ALWAYS HAVE WATER CLOSE BY. I NOTICE IT'S MOSTLY WHEN I'M ABOUT TO HAVE AN ATTACK. AT NIGHT I THINK IT'S DUE TO SLEEPING WITH MY MOUTH OPENED.

I also experiance a dry mouth as a symptom of my anxiety. It is actually a common symptom of anxiety.
