Has anyone else noticed this? When you are being negative negative things seem to happen. I'm not talking about positive self talk or looking at situations is a positive way. I mean genuinely negative thinks seem to happen to which there is no positives.

Yes I've noticed this. As Louis Hay says in her book "You Can Heal Your Life" -what you put your focus on grows. I'm not sure what you mean by genuinely negative things? A death or serious medical illness? Negativity most definitely attracts more negativity, but whether it actually causes a serious life event I guess could be debatable. Sounds like a good discussion topic!

the funny thing is, it works the other way too.

i always thought this to be pollyanna-ish, and dismissed it as the same.

but in reality, the power of positive thinking is not to be dismissed.

60 minutes has an interview with USC football coach Pete Carroll this past Sunday. When he is away from the field, he goes into the tough inner-city parts of LA and works with the gangs.

his message is simple, but powerful. he lives by the creed that "something good is going to happen today" and it infects everything that he does.

i am starting to start my day like this. not in a Stuart Smalley kind of way, but REALLY saying it and believing it.
