Hey everybody,
For a week now, I have been down about my birthday coming up. There are so many problems in my family, people not talking to one another, a mom who wants nothing to do with me, because of my sister who has brainwashed her, I could go on and on.......but today, two of my brothers and their wives took my husband and I to a beautiful breakfast and tonight, our youngest son and family are taking us out for dinner. My husband took off work today to spend my birthday with me. Look at all of the anticipatory anxiety I went through, for nothing. I've had a great day, so far! Suzzie

Hi Suzzie, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I was reading your post and wanted to wish you a great day. Isn't it so true that we anticipate with dread some of things that truly should be our happiest moments??!! I'm so glad your day turned out so well. If we could master staying in the moment instead of catastrophizing about the future, our anxieties would diminish greatly. We just need to face our mountains and the miracles will keep on coming. Enjoy the rest of your day and I wish you a happy, healthy, peaceful year ahead!

Happy Birthday! Just take this opportunity to learn and realize that there is no reason to worry next time. Everything works out at the end!
