i have not gotten the program yet and i have already decided, "I cant/wont do it. it is a lot of money and i have already spent a lotttt of money trying to get better. i asked my husband (which is wonderful) if he thought this one would actually help, he said, "it probably would, but you wont do it." i have a major problem making myself do anything. especially if it is something that would help me. i know that walking is something that would help, but i wont get out there and do it. also, i am feeling soooooooo guilty for spending more money. anybody understand? been there?

thanks a bunch,
kim

Hey Kim,

Yes it is a lot of money and I for 1 could not really afford to spend it by any means but I also could not go on feeling the way I did. I have always been terrible at sticking with anything for very long but this was something that I stuck with and am now living free of anxiety attacks and life threatening depression I had for years. I could not live like that anymore and knew I had something that could help me change my life into one of peace, joy, and filled with laughter :D not teers so I did it for myself and my loved ones.

Do yourself and husband a huge favor and get better. ;)

Don't you deserve a better life??????

Good Luck!

Maybe trying this exercise will help.

Write down activities you want to do but can't seem to get motivated to do. Write how you feel before the activity. Make yourself do the activity. Write how you feel afterwards.

Almost every time I did this I could see that doing the things I couldn't motivate myself to do actually made me feel better. Writing it down provides piles of evidence.

I did the same thing. I almost sent it back without even opening it. I thought, my husband would kill me if he knew how much this was! But it was definately cheaper than seeing my psychologist (who wasn't helping), missing work all the time because I was having so many panic attacks, and my anti-depressant meds.
Here's what I did...because it seems we're a lot alike. I made a schedule for myself. I listen to my CDs on Mondays and Wednesdays in the morning on the way to and back home from school. I do my workbook on Thursday nights. I get on this community website before bed (or more if I feel I need to). Having a schedule will keep you going!!! Just try it. Just think, maybe 6 months from now you'll be feeling great and won't even miss that money.
