Hello all,
it is the am and I have missed another day at work. It seems to be a cycle. I enjoy 80% of my job which is tuesday - friday but I am unable to function well on Mondays thus I have missed 4 mondays in total at separate occasions. I work in different locations but monday location I cannot get into a routine, I feel very uncomfortable. I have spoken to my boss but I am told it's something I need to work out on my own. This has happened to me in the past and I end of leaving the job. We have recently purchased a home and my husband is currently in school. He is so stressed because the understanding was that I would carry the load until he completed school. But I am having a hard time I do not enjoy the work I do on Mondays I don't sleep sunday nights and I wake-up monday mornings dysfunctional. I have been paying all the bills and caring for our family for the almost 6mos and I am tired. The worst past is I love my job tues to friday but my contract stipulates that I need to also work at the monday location. What steps do I need to take I am currently the miserable bread winner.
Be true to yourself
Hi Future,
I definitely know what you are going through right now. I myself am in the same position with being miserable at my current job. At least you have a good time with your job Tues through Friday! I only EVER look forward to my weekends.
I came across this career workshop on Oprah's website. It was really insightful and gave me a different perspective about seeking a new career path or making changes to the one you currently have. This may help you decide what you need to do.
I am currently using the program to look into a new career path for myself. It's difficult because I need the salary to support me and my family, but I know that this is something that I am going to have to do if I ever want to bring joy into my life.
