Hello! My name is Madison, I'm 22, and I live in Las Vegas and have had panic attacks for about 4 years now. I've had my ups and downs with anxiety and was doing really well up until about november of 2008. I live with my boyfriend in Vegas and grew up there, but, my parents moved away from Vegas when I graduated High School. I started having really bad attacks everyday starting in the beginning of December, so I decided to drive 2 hours to my parents' house in southern Utah. I've been here at their house for over a month now and have just received the program. I've been pretty skeptical about the whole thing because I have tried so many other methods to get over this anxiety. I am currently on Lexapro and have tried a whole bunch of other drugs like Paxil, Zoloft, and used to take Xanax everyday. I've also seen lots of doctors and therapists. So, you can see why I'm a bit reserved. Week one was informative, but I already knew some of the information, such as knowing that I'm the one creating these attacks and that keeping a journal is a good idea. I have read a bunch of success stories and I'm hopeful, but I get afraid that I'll never really get over this. I know that these are just negative thoughts but I'm afraid that since I am so negative that this program might not work for me. I also HATE the winter! haha so that makes me feel more depressed and hopeless as well. I just want to be happy again.
