I just went to a new psychologist today. She's so awesome!! After talking to me for just a few minutes she started guessing other things that bother me and quirks. She sort of diagnosed me as having elevated norepinephrine. . . and a form of temporal lobe ADD (but says I don't need to be on meds for it).
She said that my "cingulate Gyrus" is going too much like a hampster on a wheel. LOL
She also talked about my sleep patterns and says I have a sleep disorder.
She suggested I try Melatonin. I've heard good and bad about it. Anyone try it? I know it doesn't work for everyone; I'm just hoping it isn't a BAD experience for me.
Oh. . . we also talked about my fear of meds and she went through some meds that I would want to stay away from. . .one of them being antihistimines. So THAT'S why I can't take cold meds. . . she said that is like poison to me. . .not good with my elevated norepinephrine. Also, some antidepressants effect that and that's why some of those have been bad news for me.
I'm so glad she gets me. . .now I hope she can help me do better. I feel better already just talking to her once and hopeful we can make some progress.
