Hi Guys- well, I was invited to my boss' daughter's wedding, and was all ready to go, til I realized I was running late, my dress looks old, glitter fallen off shoes in places... I know its low self esteem. Who remembers what people wear anyway? I just want to overcome the barrier of fear and doubt and go for it. Help me go for it?

Well, I ended up going to the reception and there were so many people there that no one was looking at me or seeing me as some weirdo like I had imagined they would. Wow, imagine that, the what ifs aren't real. I actually had fun. I danced a lot, which is the most freeing thing there is- dancing is a shortcut to happiness. Was able to pay my respects to my boss and the bride and groom. Sometimes you just have to go through with somehting, realize the what ifs aren't real, and come out the other side. I'm glad I went. Thank you D for encouraging me to go and thank you Jannacle for asking about me. I am comforted that I am not alone. Sometimes it feels like it

cuttingirl,
WAY TO GO! I am so proud of you for overcoming your "what ifs"!!! And I am so glad to hear that you had a good time! I think Maeggie (on these posts) has suggested dancing in the past too...maybe we should ALL do that!
I know that you feel better now - and you dson't have to deal with the "where were you" comments at work! GOOD FOR YOU! YOU DID IT!!
Hold this in memory so that the next time you feel yourself getting "down" or feeling ht eneed to vent in negative ways you can remind yourself that those thoughts are just thoughts, that people aren't out there to judge you (they are too busy thinking about themselves - LOL), and that you can do this!
WAY TO GO!
Blessings,
Dawn
