Hi my name is Barry, I started the program a couple weeks ago. I have made some good progress already but still a long way to go. I have moderate anxiety with moderate to severe depression. I was told I am bipolar by a so called doctor. They gave me every kind of medication under the sun, nothing helped, it only made me feel worse. I finally quit taking the crap they were peddling. I saw this program, order it and It helped more than any of there drugs.

Barryt. if you were diagnosed as being Bipolar you NEED medication. It is not an option. You can't just choose not to take it. Being Bipolar is not like regular depression or like anxiety, it is more serious than those. Barryt you could get a second opinion but if the second opinion is the same, please take your medication.

Hi. Welcome, I'm happy to know you. Please take deedee's advice. DO get a second opinion. Bipolar is specific, and you do need medication with this disorder. Never accept the first opinion (Dx) for something like this. See a specialist -- an MD who specializes in diagnosing and treating this disorder. I wish you the best.

HI,
I HOPE U GOT MY MESSAGE ABOUT SEEING DIFFERENT DR'S. NOT JUST PSYCHIATRISTS. I HAVE SEEN MANY, NOW I SEE AN INTERNIST AND IT IS GREAT. GET AT LEAST 5 OPIONS. USUALLY, WITH MY EXPERIENCE I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH DIFFERNT THINGS. FIND SOMEONE YOU TRUST AND IF YOU NEED BI-POLAR MEDS, TAKE IT SLOW. MAYBE YOU DON'T. BE GOOD TO YOU AND FIND OUT WHAT DIFFERENT DR'S. SAY. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO LISTEN TO YOURSELF, BUT GET ALL THE KNOWLEDGE YOU CAN. I UNDERSTAND AND PRAY THE BEST FOR YOU.
YOU WILL BE OK!!!!!!!!!
GOD BLESS
OGIE

Barry, I started the same time as you. Do whatever works. Somebody told me I was bipolar a long time ago. Right or wrong I never took meds specifically for that. I have found the first 2 sessions have made me feel a lot better and in tune with my anxiety. I monitor what comes out of my mouth. The relaxation tapes are working great for me. Writing in a journal has always helped me.
You are doing great!

Thank you all for your thoughts, sorry I am so late to reply. I just found the post to my intro today. Finding these kind word make me feel better. You are all correct in getting another opion. I was diagnosed after a few visits with a psychiatrist as bipolar, and months and months on different meds.. I was on meds for a little more than year. They made me feel everything from high, sleepy, sick, but never did I feel better. I quit taking then slowly all I was taking in the end was 10mg lexapro, I been off meds for a year or so and feel better. This is why I don't feel I an bipolar. Thanks everyone barryt.
