In session 3 it stated to start a aerobic exercise plan for your basics for at least 30 - 45 minutes. I was wondering what would be the best aerobic plan. Would running for 30 minutes of so be good enough? The reason I asked is that I had been mixing running with jumping jacks and other aerobic style exercises for 30 minutes but now I wonder if simply running or walking for 30 minutes would be better?

Wow the jumping jacks were a great idea for me! I've been trying to do things I can do at home because I am not yet comfortable being outside by myself if I dont have to be. You could certainly do all running or walking for the whole time if you want to. You can even break it up in 10 minutes at a time sessions of exercise. The key is to get your heart pumping! I walk/pace around my house continuosly and quickly for 10 min at a time sometimes as exercise. This may not be the best solution but it does get the heart going.

Hello:
I would imagine it depends on the individual i.e. the level of fitness, flexibility, etc.
I am of the mind that ANYthing that gets your heart pumping a bit faster for 20-30 minutes is a beneficial thing; be it cycling (yes, stationary/recumbent bikes ROCK~) or running or what have you.
I would also advise a bit of gentleness to anyone just starting this for the first time OR for the first time in a long time. Set reasonable and attainable goals for yourself. Start slowly and work your way up slowly as well and, perhaps the best motivator of all: reward yourself for doing ANYthing physical that is going to get those endorphins flowing throughout your system. Praise yourself verbally and OUT LOUD and insist that others do the same. **LOL**
Just my .02c
Gentle Blessings~

I don't think it matters what you do, as long as your doing it. Mixing up your routine is nice so that you don't get bored of the same exercise everyday. I think running, walking, and jumping jacks are all great ways to get your aerobic workout. Buying work out tapes, jumping rope, and even running up and downa flight of stairs also are good ways to mix things up.

shakakor,
ANYthing that you do is going to be better than nothing.
you are good on the time frame.
i prefer running and weight training, but if you do jumping jacks or jump rope for 30-45 minutes 3x/week, that is cool too.
