Please let me know if any of you have ever experienced this before. It is like something in my head is floating. It is the weirdest feeling. It comes and goes. It is not like being dizzy or lightheaded but the feeling is like something is moving inside of my head. It is so hard to explain.

Yes, I can have a whole day of just feeling strange in my head. I also have a lot of tension and tightness in my shoulders. I went and had my shoulders rubbed out from my PT and it helped so much the strange head feeling was gone for a few days. Do you get any tension in your shoulders?

Hollyann,
I too have had weird head sensations. To me mine feels kind of like, tingly, numb, in one spot but kind of like someone is sqeezing it too, if that makes any sense. I have been thru the program and know that anxiety and give us all kinds of strange body symptoms. I just don't let it scare me anymore. Then I forget about it and it goes away. I truly feel it is anxiety and the less you make of it the sooner these symptoms will leave. I do know this is hard, but try to get your mind on other things and don't let it scare you. Good Luck to you on your recovery process. Stick with the program and you will do well. I am a firm believer, if you truly apply yourself, this program is the answer.

Catsrich,
Sorry my post is for you too. Try not to let these sensations bother and scare you, truly the less we make of them the sooner they will leave you. I too wish you the best on your journey of recovery. It takes time and effort, but it will come. Good Luck

I've had so many weird head sensations I can't even remember them all. What you are describing sounds like a classic anxiety symptom. I am sorry cause I know how scary/difficult it can be. But rest assured, many other people experience it. Sometimes low blood sugar plays a roll in it for me, other times it is because I'm tired, but usually it's just because by body is overloaded by stress and anxiety so the best thing to do is try and relax and do what works for you- breathing exercises or meditation, whatever it is, relaxation training can help.

Yes, I have sensations in my head especially when I have to drive a long way and also on Sunday morning at church. I feel like I'm not all the way awake and functioning. What I feel in my head is a pressure like someone is squeezing my head and of course the anxious feelings. About halfway thru Mass, I realize that it won't last much longer and then I can go on and do what I need to do the rest of the day. When I have to drive longer than I usually do, I get the pressure again. I just tell myself that I will soon be there and that I will be okay. At least I know some other people are getting sensations in the head. Thank goodness the feeling isn't around all the time. That would give me cause for worry. Know that you are not by yourself in this. We all hope to get the maximum out of this program and relearn how to feel better.

Hello,
I too have had these weird head sensations for the past few weeks. I've never really suffered from headaches per se and when these came one, I automatically thought the worst. They still come and go and I find that they come on when I'm tired. I don't sleep very well and as you can imagine, my anxiety kicks in big time thinking that something is terribly wrong. I just have to relax and use my breathing technique. Thank you all for posting your thoughts and experiences. I can't tell you how much it helps me to read that I'm not alone... that we're not alone in this...
