Stress Center Peer Support

There is rumors that they might be letting 3 to 5 people go this coming year from the school I work at. I know there is one guy who really doesn't like me. He is impossible to work for. I do a good job, I believe. I am an artist.
They tried to get rid of me almost two years ago. But I stood up for myself and faught it. It was a miracle, they kept me. Why? Because I am very good at what I do! And for the first time I wrote the letters and stood up for myself. I won. I was told it's the first time anyone won against the boss.
This time I won't fight. I will leave knowing I am good at what I do. I work with some pretty unethical people. One guy is a total BS artist. He claims to have a background in a certain skill but it is very obvious he does not! A girl does nothing but steal everything off the web.
I created everything out of my head! And I really don't get credit for it.
I am just worried and need to vent.
I am in m y late 40s and don't know if I can go on going from one job to another.

If it truly seems inevitable, and more than a rumor it's time for you to take action. You still have your self-respect and self-confidence intact. Take that and run with it! Start putting your feelers out now for a new position! Don't sit and wait to be their victim. FIGHT!

It's easy to allow our age to make us think differently about our careers, but please don't fall into that trap!

But I am not saying they are going to let me go. They might or they might not.

I have a history of being let go from jobs. But I a finally standing up for myself.
Why should I get a job now when there is o sign it's me being let go?

I like you what say about not being their victim.

And keeping ones self respect is the utmost importance.
