I have major general anxiety along w/ many weird symptoms. I was told that they were ALL due to anxiety. However, I have gotten increasingly worse..even when im not anxious to the point i have trouble with balance, strength, etc. Heres my list

exhaustion
general anxiety
muscle aches
frequent uti's
fluctuating vision
burning eyes and nose
muscle weakness
balance problems
dizziness
head pressure/swelling feeling
intolerance to heat/exercise/alcohol
sensitivity to medication
irritability for no reason
pms increases symptoms
concentration issues
feeling in a fog
acute depression
muscle twitching/jerks
numbness in hands/arms during sleep
acute ringing in ears
feel short of breath often
stomach sensitivity
insomnia
even acute swallowing problems
i have many more but cant remember them (short term memory issues)

So.....ive lost my job, had to move home w/ my mom (im 32 and female), have trouble standing in line and walking due to balance.
I have seen sooo many specialists because there were problems throughout my body! Docs suspected thyroid problems, MS, depression, allergies, etc.

i was first diagnosed with GAD(which i have but MAY BE A SYMPTOM not a disease in itself.
If anyone also has exhaustion problems, muscle aches, keep getting medical help.
Then I did a few tests showing i had moderately high levels of intestinal yeast! I was then diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrom and Fibromyalgia (CFS can cause DOZENS of seemingly unrelated symptoms!).
From there i was tested via western blot (not Elisa) for Lyme disease...and came back positive.
NOW, ive learned NEVER to believe 100% in any diagnosis im given. Ive been very ill for 2 years (a big par has beeen anxiety but not at the top of my list).
I still dont know if it truly is lyme that i am battling but i just feel like we deserve to give ourselves the chance to wake up from this hell ...and for me..im trying antibiotics for the lyme. If this doesnt help..perhaps ill try antivirals for the CFS.

Take care all and i welcome any comments. :)

from what I have read, certain people are trying to push all problems off on either Yeast. or Lyme disease.
I don't know how they can do this, but well, whatever.

I am always cynical of the lyme thing because it seems to be like snake oil med. It covers everything.
And there is only one or two places that can even do the test, which is not covered by insurance.

I guess I am just a bit put off by that.
I hope the antibiotics help the lyme, but it sure will up your problems with stomach and yeast, being on the anti's for so long.
Keep us posted. Please

Bek,

I hear ya. I totally am understanding on both sides of the fence. When people seem put off by lyme i can understand why. Even with a positive test i dont rely on it 100% and yes i may be getting into more trouble with antibiotics.

Then again, if someone truly has CFS (i am diagnosed) that actually is an immune system weakening disorder which will allow overgrowth of yeast.

I guess the bottom line is to always listen to both sides. Hell, for all i know my CFS diagnosis could be wrong, my lyme test could not be accurate, etc etc and all this is anxiety.

I will pop in and keep people posted.

LilMiss:
you sound like you have a good head on your shoulders. I am glad you are keeping the options open for your health.
That is the most important thing.
Who knows, something might help.

LilMiss,
You have a lot of the same symptoms I have been having for 15 years! I kept being misdiagnosed. I actually did a lot of research about Lyme for my mom, because she was recently diagnosed, and all the things I read sounded like me! So I got tested through Igenex and it came back positive for Lyme and Babesia, which is a co-infection. I have been on IV abx, for two weeks now and have another month to go. I am actually hoping for longer just to make sure we kill the little buggers.
One huge downside...Utah has no LLMDs (Lyme-Literate Medical Docs), so they are as aggressive with treatment or take it seriously enough, IMO.
I am also taking many supplements, too, to help get rid of this bacteria in my body. There is a website I frequently go to, to talk with others who have Lyme. www.lymenet.org. Please check it out. I hope since you posted, that you are doing better!
