I use to get that, and I don't take medication. It has to be anxiety, but meds can cause symptoms of anxiety.

hi folks can't get into the chat rooom right now so best i can do keep up with all is through the forums.

What is sleep? I don't know what it is to have a decent nights sleep. up every 2 hrs off to the bathroomj/ Sometimesthe heart is going like crazy. Don't like t o take meds. theyleave me with such a weird feeling. Hard to describe.

It takes me forever to moving in mornings. I work nites. takkes me a while to unwind when I get home. sometimes I don't think I reallly unwind. I am so tired and sleepy. so it is off to bed. nightsif I can't sleep I turn on the relazation tapes abd will fall asleep.

Had a lot going on lately hopefully it will settle now and I can get my focus back where itr belongs.

Hi:
Sleep has always been an issue with me.
If I do go to sleep, I will very often awaken after a couple of hours, Might stay awake then for several hours, or might not go to sleep at all that night.
This is not every night , but many nights. It might be every night, but I take an ADVIL PM at bedtime. Or a TYLENOL PM. If I didn't take that sleep aid , I would not sleep much at all.
And sometimes I will have trouble going to sleep even after taking it.

But the thing is that I'm retired . I don't have to go to work next day. However, I had this problem back when I did work.
And it is rough.
I sure wish you the best!!!! And my best to everyone who has this problem.

This used to happen to me too. Years ago when my anxiety was at it's height, I had such trouble sleeping. Nighttime was very scary for me. I would feel like I was slipping into something that I would never get out of. I was afraid to go to sleep. I remember fearing that I would go crazy in the middle of the night and not know it. Anti-Anxiety meds like Ativan should not cause you anxiety but sometimes coming off of them can make your anxiety come back more intense. This is why I hardly ever took them. Anxiety is a liar! And you just have to remember that. Think of it as a bully that just makes threats all day long. That's all they are....threats!
