Great links Ms. T, those are wonderful resources.

Helpless what you say is right on, it stands to reason that maybe we need more sleep!

Lucinda often talks about the foggy, dreamy sensations under panic in the program.

She also talks about how we are prone to anxiety when we aren't well-rested.

I used to think, well, if I didn't get enough sleep, I would be really tired and feel a lot more relaxed all day and the anxiety wouldn't be as bad.

You would think it's that way, but in reality our minds can much better handle anxiety and other panicky situations when we have had a full nights' sleep or we at least are very well rested.

It is when we haven't gotten any or enough sleep that we have trouble and are challenged trying to get a hold of our emotional and physical peace of mind.

labourg if you are having trouble sleeping and are open to using supplements, there are a lot of herbal supps and teas available at your local health food store.

Thank you all for the kind replies and great advice!! I have been having a hard time with sleeping and I do find the fogginess is worse when I am very tired. The other night was very challenging for me but I was better last night!
Joe P--I am right there with you with the health anxiety. I have that same viscious circle as well. I have been dealin with tremendous muscle tension and spasms and I can't even tell you the diseases that I have had in the past week!!
Thank you again for all the support!! We will get through this together!! :)

I have gotten this symptom whenever a big change has taken place in my life. Like you when I had made the decision to move in with my(now)husband, and when I had my second child and when we moved in with my parents when we were buying our condo. I was always a welcomer of change but as I have gotten older I think it has become more stressful. I am always excited about the changes but my body's way of saying this is stressful is the unreality symptom which I probably hate the most out of all the anxiety symptoms there are. After I had my second son I had a really bad bout with anxiety and depression and I would wake up in the middle of the night with that unreality feeling and I was always so disoriented it was probably one of the scariest if not the scariest times in my life. I will get it once in a while now but not as bad "knock on wood" (he he) but i am also on meds for anxiety and i think that helps keep things in check. I hope to get off my meds someday but the fear of feeling that way again scares me to death.

This is without a doubt the worse part of anxiety. I can pretty much handle most of the symptoms but the unreality part is usually the last and most difficult part of anxiety episodes.

Life changes have always been difficult for me too. I haven't had an anxiety attack in 6 years until about a month ago. Since, some days have been good and others a living hell. It is probably because I haven't experienced it in 6 years.

I feel your pain but you, and I, will be ok. I guess we need to go through things like this once in a while.
