My dryer broke down two days ago. It still ran but the drum wouldn't move. So I looked at it and was able to figure out what was wrong and fix it. I'm proud because I would formerly have waited for someone to come and fix it for me and gone to the laundromat if I couldn't find anyone. I'm learning to talk to myself like I would a friend, instead of calling myself an idiot when I don't know how to do something.

Awesome! You must be mechanically inclined - my husband is like that, he can fix everything!

Sounds like you have more mental energy - I know that I avoid problems like that when I feel down or exhausted.

I just AVOID problems with I am tired or down. Congratulations Bees4me. I think that is a wonderful triumph actually 2 of them with learning how to talk to yourself as if you were a friend. You have practiced that enough to have a positive effect in your life. Way to go!
