Affirmations for Self-Esteem

Post by LyndaLu » Sat Jan 18, 2014 8:28 pm

What I Am......

I am lovable and capable.

I fully accept and believe in myself just the way I am.

I am a unique and special person. There is no one else quite like me in the entire world.

I'm already worthy as a person. I don't have to prove myself.

My feelings and needs are important.

It's good for me to take time for myself.

I have many good qualities.

I believe in my capabilities and value the unique talents I can offer the world.

I am a person of high integrity and sincere purpose.

I trust in my ability to succeed at my goals.

I am a valuable and important person, worthy of the respect of others.

Others recognize that I have a lot to offer.

I trust and respect myself and am worthy of the respect of others.

I'm optimistic about life. I look forward to and enjoy challenges.

I know what my values are and am confident of the decisions I make.

I believe in my ability to succeed.

I love myself just the way I am.

I don't have to be perfect to be loved.

The more I love myself, the more I am able to love others.

HOPE

Hope is the most important positive attitude.

You can choose to have hope.

Without hope, life has no meaning or point.

We expect nothing, plan nothing and don't set goals for ourselves.

Hi munchkin:

I am so glad that you decided to start up on the program again !
Welcome back !
The coping skills really DO work. We CAN replace our old coping mechanisms with new ones.
The moment I accepted my illness and embraced it, was the moment that I started to have hope.
Once you have hope, you can do so many positive things to improve your life.
You are more receptive. You can start loving yourself again.

PS: I don't know why I am always double-spacing ! Ha Ha. I think it is because I
am older now and my eyes don't see as well. PSS: My computer screen is also
set up at 125%, instead of 100% so that I can see the smaller print.

Thank you for those great affirmations. I need to remember and repeat a number of those, to help me accept and believe in myself again, to feel optimistic about life again, and probably most importantly, to love myself more. Thanks also for the reminder that we can choose to have hope. Too many times in the past few years I have felt hopeless and that results in a pretty meaningless life. This site and the forums give me and so many others hope - Helping Other People Everywhere. Thank you for helping with the positive posts. :)

mark:

I have received a lot of information in the classes / workshops / support groups
that I have been participating in the past 3 months. I am saving all of the
paperwork that I receive at these classes so that I can read them over and
over again. ( As I was taught in one class: "Practice, Practice, Practice !" ).
I am also sharing this information with my sister. I send her e-mails and send
her letters about positive affirmations, healthy boundaries, personal development,
self-esteem, investing in relationships, gratitude lists, etc.

I am taking an Advocacy workshop in April. I hope I can learn something from
the workshop. I would like to find something I am passionate about and be
an advocate for it in my community. Until then, I will be an advocate for
myself !

Don't forget to love yourself. Don't let the little set-backs bring you down.
Keep up the great work. I know that I will be hearing about your many
successes soon !

LyndaLu ;)
