I think you've gotten a great hold of it now..Good job :)

Do you have limitations when it comes to socializing? How do you typically respond to social situations? If you do have limitations here it is great to state them as you are showing yourself that you're progressing and pushing past the limitation and it just feels that more of an accomplishment.

Do you have any limitations when it comes to doing the activities you listed? Check out what i wrote in the previous paragraph.

My accomplishments yestaurday were;
I've completed a whole week of the Master Cleanse dispite my attachment to comfort foods. This is a great accomplishment for me and it has actually cut my anxiety down 3/4ths. It's amazing how foods can contribute to anxiety so much.

I also got to sleep earlier which is a very very very Big accomplishment for me as I have a huuuuuuuge resistance to even getting into bed at a reasonable hour or even when i feel tired. Historically for the last 14 years, I would only go to bed when i'm down right exhausted to the point that i had no choice. I kicked through this negative habit and i'm really proud of myself.

Hey All
Went to the Jacksonville/Buffalo game yesterday in Jacksonville. What a great day! The only downer was that it must have been 100 degrees in the sun, no shade, no cloud cover, no breeze.... Got totally sun sick by the fourth quarter and ended up having to leave w/ 8 minutes left in the game. It was a very real sickness, not panic.
So, started out great, couldnt handle the heat. Heard that the bills turned it around and WON in those 8 minutes after we left! (i was rooting for the bills)...:(
Would have liked to see them win, but it was good to be there for most of the game anyway!

My triumph for today.... taking the day off of work to rest and feel better from dehydration and sun stroke! :)

Hope you all had a WONDERFUL weekend!

Swan01 Hope you feel better!!!!!

Well lets see today I made myself go to my new job again. I've been getting new symptoms lately and they have reallu been scaring me...but despite that I toughed it out and got here today. The symptoms are still coming and going but im trying to ignore them telling myself its just me focuing on them thats why they return. My biggest fear in life is having a heart attack so whenever I feel dizzy or that blood rushing feeling thats what triggers in my head..but im trying to float with it today!!

Hope you feel better Swan. But its good to look at taking your day off in a positive way. This is the good thing can happened with the bad situation.

Thats great...even though you got new symptoms and that can be really scary but, you faced it and you got through...great job.

My accomplishment.
Completed day 8. I was tempted to eat something after visiting a friend at a restaurant and he ate a small meal. I didn't listen to the temptation and I made it through.

I also listened to the relaxation cd 3 times today which is a great accomplishment because i am so resistant to relaxing at all. I'm proud of myself.

Bevhembree, Do you have limitations when it comes to socializing? YES!

How do you typically respond to social situations? Don't go/avoid; don't interact or speak; little eye contact; maybe smile and look down; the larger the group, the worse I am; one on one is a look better for me to open up.

If you do have limitations here it is great to state them as you are showing yourself that you're progressing and pushing past the limitation and it just feels that more of an accomplishment.
HMM- will work on that, just not avoiding at this point is progress. THANKS!

Alright so historically you have a hard time even going to social events and when you do, you have a difficult time interacting, there is little eye contact and you look down alot...but you faced this and went anyways. You should be really proud of yourself...You just put a hole in your wall..even if it is a small hole, it is still a hole none the less.

There is something i wanted to comment on
Wasn't the most social butterfly

Does this enhance the feeling of accomplishment or does it devalue it? What expectation did you have going into the situation?

See you have a limitation when it comes to socializing and this is alright. It is only normal to be afraid in situations where those scary anxious feelings come up...they can be very freightening and when we get scared it is human nature to feel like we are vulnerable and need to close up to protect ourselves. This doesn't mean it will always be this way and you are taking the steps in order to get passed this problem. Don't worry if you aren't a master socializer yet...you're working on this and it is like an infant...would you expect an infant to go from not even learning to crawl to walking perfect? Probabbly not. Like an infant the more attempts you make, the closer you will get to mastering the skill. Take pride in every accomplishment no matter how little it is and give yourself some slack...you are a human being...not a robot.

What I've started to realize by acknowlegding my daily accomplishments is that I really like myself. In the past I always felt less than. I never had good self esteem because of my anxiety and panic attacks.

In the last month of acknowledging all the positives/accomplishments, I feel so much better about myself and my life. It's amazing.

I am so thankful I found this program and for this thread. Keep up the good work. Take care and God Bless.

That is wonderful. I have also noticed this in myself and wished to spread this and i think this was another reason why i made this thread.

That is a huge accomplishment as you are really starting to change into a more positive outgoing person. Keep it up and it will become your automatic response.

So today i was able to exercise with my favorate video which i haven't been able to do because i had some breathing issues. Dispite my worrying about feeling really short of breath and tight chest while exercising..i did it anyways and i felt great for it.
