The company I work for has unlimited overtime which I have wanted to take advantage of but when I would try to go in before the start of shift to work I could feel the panic building before I went in and then I would be watching the clock during the whole time I was working the extra hours (just 2).
I decided yesterday to try working the overtime AFTER my shift and it went really well; I did not obsess about the time and I did not feel emotional about staying late like I did about having to arrive early.
