Small triumph

The night is the worst time for my anxiety. I often wake up during the night with racing thoughts and/or anxiety and have a hard time falling back asleep. The past week I have been waking up an hour after I fall asleep, anxious and scared. Last night I fell asleep at midnight and woke up around 4 a.m. but I didn't feel anxious at all. I looked out the window and saw the clouds illuminated by the moon and fell peacefully back asleep. I made it through a night without anxiety. Woo-hoo!
