I sang this song in the waffle house a couple of years ago...

Ole Dan Tucker was a good ole' man,
He washed his face in a frying pan;
He combed his hair with a wagon wheel,
He died with a toothache in his heel.

Get out of the way...Ole' Dan Tucker,
It's too late too eat your supper!

Everyone in the restaurant was cracking up!
They probably thought I had totally lost it!!!
And, they were probably right!!!

Were you a Little House fan?

Hey, I guess if you're gonna let loose, the Waffe House'd be the place to do it!

I can see Mr. Edwards dancing now. Ma never did like how he taught Half Pint to spit, it isn't very ladylike.

I love the Little House books--yeah, Dan was quite a guy, a very likable fellow, especially to little Laura! I read these books in fifth grade and my husband and I have read them to our children. A little humor can definitely release a lot of stress! God bless you all.

My grandmother (also from Ky) used to sing this one to me when I was a small child. Haven't heard it in years. Thanks for the recreation of a childhood moment. It made me smile. Good ole Dan Tucker.
