something different

I've recently started seeing a therapist because of a huge setback i'm in the middle of. Obviously anxiety and depression are the problem, but the major thing i have an issue with is obsessive, scary thoughts. I've dedicated myself, for the last year anyway, to books by claire weeks about dealing with these thoughts. Her teachings are often used by some on hear, and this is where i got the idea to read her books. Anyway, i could never seem to accept, float, and let time pass as the books recommend and now this new therapist disagrees with the approach all together. We're trying new meds and next time starting a different approach to these thoughts. Getting scared that i have to start on something different when so many on here said the acceptance thing was the way to go. Starting to feel that this may get the better of me and i'll end up becoming suicidal again. Seriously been thinking about electric shock therapy. anyone tried this and what are your thoughts on the procedure?
