compulsion?

Post by mack » Wed May 09, 2012 11:59 pm

Having a tough day surrounding a new obsession. Been working alot with Claire Weeks books on obsessions, well once upon a time i read a book called Freedom From Fear by a Dr. Leigbold and he recommended doing something called cortical shifting to distract your thoughts. Well, i like to sing and have always done so while i can at work. My obsessions are usually strongest at work, i'm assuming cause of the stress, and i tend to sing while i work. Just helps me get through the day. Today i had the thought, 'what if this singing is becoming a compulsion?". Has really bothered me to the point of panic. Been in a bit of a setback lately and this really got me down. Love to hear some suggestions.
