Excessive bloating

Post by Saffie » Wed May 11, 2011 12:41 pm

I just wanted to know if there is anyone out there who is constantly bloated and when you are relieved of your bloating do you fear being bloated again. I get so anxious and I sometimes panic when my bloating gets bad. I sometimes get so bloated I feel tightness in my chest and a lump in my throat. I can't seem to control my obsessive scary thoughts. I have been to the doctor so many times and Everytime they tell me I'm fine but I know there is something wrong because I have only seen the regular doctors not a specialist like a GI. I am finally going to see one this Friday. I have to be honest I am so scared I might get so anxious and have a panic attack and leave. I have been waiting to see this specialist such a long time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

yes bloating.. it swells up at night... like i am pregnant..
it is called gluten intolerance and your dr can do a blood test for it, also ask them if you have celiac disease , you can be gluten intolerant and not have celiac .
then if diagnosed please see a dietitian. there is hidden gluten in so many things...
when i finally started seeking help .. i went to 3 gastrologist they ignored me. I finally saw my fam dr and he mentioned something about the spagetti i had eaten..did i notice the swelling, later i returned and asked to be tested and it was gluten intolerance.
