I'm doing the exercise in the book, and the most obsessive thought that I have is that what if I forget who my son is. And I'm supposed to be writing and humorous paragraph but I can't think of anyway how to turn that into something funny.

It is not easy but eventually you get to the point where you can laugh at the notion of having the thought in the first place. That is what helped me. I laughed at the power of a thought. A thought can make you feel awful, scared, anxious, depressed. But a thought can also make you feel uplifted, happy, humor, and confident. The thought that you may forget who your son is, is not funny. But laughing at the notion of the thought in the first place is easier. After all thoughts are just that...thoughts.
