No discussion, I just wanted to send my best wishes out to anyone who deals with these scary thoughts. It's almost impossible to explain to someone who doesn't have to deal with this just how difficult and depressing this can be. Peace be with you all.

It takes no great personality defect to suffer from scary thoughts.

Anyone can become sensitized at any time, due to some life event or stressful situation. It sensitizes your nerves, making any anxious thought strike almost like a physical blow. This frightens the person, they think they must be some kind of monster to think like this. So now, they've further sensitized themselves into believing this bluff.

Because they try so hard to stop the thoughts from coming, they keep coming back. Can you see how this develops? There isn't much to it really. It's human.
