I've always had the obessive circular thinking. One think that has worked has been so simple. It was just a matter of resolving to do it. When the first thoughts come i just say "I don't care." I say it out loud. then i resolve to move on and deal with something real. Anything real, tangible that keeps me in the world and the present moment as opposed to my head and the what-ifs. This is a big deal for me. Every second of every day was an obessive cylce. One day this week i just said, "I don't care". and now every time it starts I say it and they're getting less frequent. It's been a good thing. Hope that helps someone out there.
:) Hugs!

Excellent post! You've hit it right on the nose. Sometimes I will also say, "Fine. Go ahead." to whatever my scare voice is threatening me with. Nothing ever happens and I move on in the present moment.

You have offered very valuable information.
