Stress Center Peer Support

I read on someone's comments - talking about a driving CD. Is that something available from this site? If so does anyone know how I can order it? My daughter refuses to even try to drive, she's going to be heading to college soon but she says she too anxious to learn. Thanks! Nina4

NINA4, I have been told by various people in the on-line chat sessions that listening to the audio sessions, especially audio number 3 is great to listen to while driving. It is focused on positive self-talk to help over come anxiety with driving, etc. You should also call the stress and anxiety center to inquire about a particular cd that will help your daughter to drive again. I also have the same phobias as your daughter...I have been in the program with the audios for about five weeks now. It isn't easy, but I have definatley found that it helps, especially with the support group in the chat sessions. This program also offers one on one couching over the phone for an additional fee. I have been told that it is a tremendous success to controling panic while driving and other phobias. Good luck, give them a call.

In spite of the warnings, I actually drove home last night listening to the Relaxation CD! I'm glad I made it home in one piece. I wouldn't suggest trying this at home, folks.
