Please read the September 18th post found on page 4 before you start to copy down the affirmations

How would you like to destroy those belief systems that keep you stuck and non functional? How would you like to take personality traits from people you admire and make them yours? What would your life be like if you stopped telling yourself that you can't or that you are inferior? Well it sounds like alot of work and well If you consider reading a few phrases to be alot of work then you are right but it's still worth it as long as you believe in what you are doing. The more belief and visualization you put into it, the more you can get out of it.

This thread is dedicated to affirmation scripts which I'm currently using myself in order to change my life and well I've gotten good results with some of the affirmations already.

There is one affirmation I suggest you start on first before even looking at the other ones. This one has to do with habits (using affirmations is a positive habit that we want to create). The affirmation is;
I am patient with progress & my goals. Any effort I put forth brings me closer to my goal. Slipping back just gives me the opportunity to learn and grow even closer to my goal.

If you can really understand the reality of that affirmation then it will make you more relaxed when you go to change habits. This means more self-esteem, no guilt, less anxiety and stress as well. See when you have a habit it is something you do habitually and the way our brains are wired, your brain will be more likely to follow that same wiring until its changed. Progress will be slow because it takes awhile to rewire and your brain will continue to keep trying to follow the original wiring. Slowly and slowly you will break that path way and create a new one. This is how it works for everybody and to beat yourself up for not being able to automatically switch from one pattern to another is just foolish and only makes you miserable and feel hopeless.

Affirmations are recommended to be read 3-4X a day. I like to read them when i first wake up and when i'm about to go to sleep, I also read them before or after working out at the gym or if i go and visit a park.

Ok The first script is for self-talk itself. Basically just creating the habit of using self-talk and this is word for word from that book "what to say when you talk to yourself"

Self-talk;

<IMG class="inline_image" ALIGN="left" SRC="http://www.dailynews.lk/2009/11/28/z_pa ... f-talk.jpg">
-I know the greatness begins in the minds of the great. I know that what i believe about myself is what I will become-So I believe in the best for myself

-I am practical and realistic, and I keep my feet on solid ground. But I also give myself the freedom to live up to my fullest expectations.

-I never limit myself by the short-sighted beliefs of others- Instead I open myself up to the broad horizons of unlimited possibility.

-When someone says "I cannot," I answer "why not?" When someone says "it's impossible," I answer that nothing is any more impossible than I believe that with my individual fortress of faith, with me anything is possible

-I have drive, spirit, stamina, and endurance. I have a good strong winning attitude about myself and about everything I do. I am practical and realistic, but I also believe in the best possible outcome of any situation

-If I have ever had any doubts about myself in the past, today is a good day to put them aside. It's a good day to throw out any disbelief that ever held me back

-I know that I am headed in the right winning direction, and I look forward and never look back. I have the ability to focus on one thing at a time, so I concentrate my attention on the job at hand and I get it done

-Today is one of those days when nothing can stand in my way. When I need extra determination, I've got it! When I need more energy and drive, I've got it! I've got the power to get it done and the patience to see it through, no matter what the job or challenge may be.

-Right now, even while I am telling myself these truths about me, I know that I can succeed & I am succeeding. At this moment, if I think of any challenge in front of me, I know that I will become even more of a winner because of it

-I keep my chin up, my head held high. I look, act, sound, think and feel like the winner I am! Anytime a problem starts to get me down, I get myself right back up! I tackle problems and I solve them. When frustration or defeat threatens me, I just become that much stronger, more positive, better organized, and more determined then ever

-Right now, today, this very moment, I am capable of giving myself the git of absolute self-assurance, self-belief and powerful non-stop confidence in myself.

-No matter what it is that requires the very best of me, I can do it and I know I can

-Today is a great day. And I've got what it takes. So I choose to live today with joy and love

-I know it's all up to me. One hundred percent! Every bit of it. All of it is in how I look at it and what I do about it! That's what winning is. Thats why I am a winner.

-I set my sights. I keep my balance. I don't hesitate. I don't hold back! I know that the world is full of opportunities. Look at what I can do; look at where I can go! Look at what I can do just by saying "yes!" to myself!

-Just look at what I can do today! I am incredible... and today is a great day to show it!

Worry;
<IMG class="inline_image" ALIGN="left" SRC="http://www.saga.vn/Saga_Gallery/CuocSong/worry1.jpg">
I do not worry. I am in control of my own thinking & I think only those thoughts which create & fulfill the best in me

My mind is constantly in tune with the positive. It is bright, cheerful, enthusiastic, & full of good, positive thoughts & ideas

I am able to relax easily & comfortably in my body & in my mind. I am calm, confident & self-assured.

My mind is well organized. I constantly choose what I think & I always choose those thoughts which are the most positive & beneficial for me.

All of my thoughts create happiness within me

My mind dwells only on those thoughts which create more harmony, balance & well-being within me & in the world around me

I automatically & always, think in a decisive & determined way

I am full of resolution and the absolute assurance of the best possible outcome in everything that i do

I choose to look at the world around me in the bright, healthy light of optimism & self-assurance

I do only those things which are best for me. I create the best within myself, I attract the best in others, and i find the best in the world around me

I willingly, & without fail, take care of the duties & obligations which I have accepted for myself

I commit only to those responsibilities which I know i can fulfill

I focuse the attention of my mind only on those things that I can do something about. If I cannot affect it or direct it I accept it.

I keep my mind too busy thinking good, healthy, positive, constructive & productive thoughts to ever have any time for worry

I control the thoughts i choose. No thought, at any time, can dwell in my mind without my approval or permission

When I learn new things it is not a matter of if what I do will work but rather how long it will take for me to get really good at it

Boy are those keepers! I printed them out to use when I start to worry. :)
The first one is a grabber, I like I do not worry!
I control the thoughts i choose. No thought, at any time, can dwell in my mind without my approval or permission
Thats a great one too!
They are all very good and I thank you for posting them. I'm sure all the worriers out here will thank you!!! This is a good way to come up with things to tell yourself when you can't think of anything. Reading these are so helpfull.
The self talk was good as well. I had a hard time in my work book with that lesson. I struggled with that and if I had read this thread back then I could have done better. So for me I printeed that one out as well.

Keep putting them out here! Thanks, Mike. :cool:

This one in particular really spoke to me--

One of the most troubling parts of this condition, for me, is lightning-quick darl terrifying spiraling images/ thoughts... tangled in nanoseconds. I wrote this one on my mirror, and on a couple of index cards that are strategically placed. Thank you for sharing.

I'm glad you all have found these very helpful. I have lots more to come :)

Yay your starting lesson 4 today eh ace20. I think this is a very good time to use the affirmations. Some of the things in that lesson can not only help motivate you with the affirmations but It can also help to avoid shoulding with the affirmations themselves and to be realistic with your results from reading the affirmations on a regular basis. That is awesome!

cuttingirl

Oh ya i got those as well still but not so much. After reading some of those affirmations especially the ones on responsibility (which talks about even being responsible for thoughts), I am actually able to stop them a bit quicker. I will put that one up next.

Your welcome everybody and keep up the good work. I will post more.

By the way i have a script for problems and i'm actually starting to find that I'm getting excited about the idea of solving problems when before i was afraid of them, stressed and overwhelmed too. I'll put that script up as well.

Taking responsibility (this one is very important, especially to counter the secondary gains);

<IMG class="inline_image" ALIGN="left" SRC="http://www.danteross.com/blogs/dante/fi ... bility.jpg">
I take full responsibility for everything about me- even the thoughts that I think. I am in control of the vast resources of my own mind

I alone am responsible for what I do and what I tell myself about me. No one can share this responsibility with me

I also allow others to accept their responsibilities for themselves and I do not try to accept their responsibilities for them

I enjoy being responsible. It puts me in charge of being me - and thats a challenge I enjoy

I allow no one else, at any time, to assume control or responsibility over my life or anything that I do. My responsibility to others is an extension of my own responsibility to myself

I choose to leave nothing about me up to chance. When it comes to me - and anything in my life - I choose to choose

My choices are mine alone to make for myself. I do not, at any time, allow anyone else to make my choices for me. And I accept full responsibility for every choice & decision I make

I always meet all of the obligations which I accept. And I accept no obligations which I will not meet

I am trustworthy. I can be counted on. I have accepted winning responsibility for myself - and I always live up to the responsibilities I accept

There is no they on whom I lay the blame, or with whom I share my own personal responsibilities. I have learned the great secret of mastering my own destiny. I have learned that they is me.

I have no need to make excuses & no one needs to carry my responsibilities for me. I gladly carry my own weight and I carry it well

Each day I acknowledge & accept the responsibility not only for my own actions but also for my emotions, my thoughts and my attitudes.

I accept the responsibility for living life in a way which creates my strengths, my happiness, my positive, healthy beliefs and for my past, my present & future.

By the way, high lighting each phrase with a diff color helps to make them less overwhelming.

Lucky you get 2 in one day

Solving Problems;

<IMG class="inline_image" ALIGN="left" SRC="http://www.tayloredhypnotherapy.co.uk/i ... oblems.jpg">
I am a good problem solver. I like challenges and I meet them head on

Problems are just opportunities to learn and grow. Without them I would be going nowhere. With them, I am moving forward in the direction of my own goals

There is no problem I can't conquer. My strength is greater than any problem I might be faced with

When I meet a new problem, I do not see the problem as my enemy. I know that finding the solution to the problem will move me forward in my own personal growth

Because I know that problems are key ingredients in my spiritual and mental education and preparation, I recognize that all problems are important to me

I do not fear problems, I solve them. I do not ignore problems, I confront them. I do not avoid problems, I conquer them!

I know that every problem holds within itself the keys to its own solution. Therefore, the better I understand the problem, the clearer I am able to see its solution

Having problems is not a problem for me. I am confident, self-assured, positive & determined. I always know that I am going to overcome any problem I encounter - and I always do

I am good at breaking larger obsticals down into smaller pieces that are easier to handle. And I never make any problems appear to be larger than it actually is

I never worry. I turn "worry time" into positive, constructive "solution time." I keep my mind alert and open to all solutions - and solutions come quickly and easily to me.

I am very creative and can visualize very well

I have learned to recognize that many problems carry with them benefits and potential opportunities which would not have presented themselves had the problem not occured in the first place.

I do not seek to live a life which is free from all problems. Instead, I choose to live a life of finding solutions and enjoying the benefits which those solutions create.

Challenge, conquer, solution and win are words which i live by daily. "challenges" are opportunities. "conquering them" is the inevitable outcome. "solutions" are the stepping stones to my success. and winning is a way of life

Thank you life for giving me problems and obsticals in order to grow and inspiring people and the resources to overcome them

I know there isn't only one solution to a problem

Mike

Coming up are organization, relaxation, self-esteem, anger and generalized affirmations for those most common negative thoughts like I can't, its too overwhelming, I'm not good enough....

I am working on a script for anxiety and it is not as simple as taking my negative thoughts, this one is going to take something diffrent to create. I'm going through my resources to come up with what i need.
