I have had anxiety for a few years. I used the program along with meds and therapy and thought I had the anxiety under control. I was doing really well, life was great. Originally my symptoms were more of panic I think. I would feel sick to my stomach, weak, light headed and like I was melting. I was afraid to drive or go to the store, almost agoraphobic sp? This time is completely different. I'm not afraid to go anywhere or do anything. My skin started prickling one day about 2 months ago and hasn't stopped. It prickles and then gets sore and painful, then I get the chills. It is a viscious cycle. I also have a sore tongue and swollen taste buds, a bitter taste on my tongue and when I eat anything that might be irritating to my tongue, it seems like I'm over producing saliva and my head starts sweating. I have been to 4 doctors and the last one said it was anxiety. I am confused and scared because this is not the way I experienced anxiety before and keep thinking something very serious is wrong with me. I'm back on meds (buspar) and working the program again.
Anyone with similar symptoms?

You might want to consider going to a Chinese Medicine doctor/acupuncturist. They can make certain diagnoses from looking at your tongue. Acupuncture has been VERY helpful for me with anxiety/dizziness.
Hope you feel better soon.

Coco2 - It's funny that you mention a Chinese Medicine doctor because I went to a CHinese allergist and he told me in China they call my tongue "tongue on fire" and that it comes from too much stress and frustration in your body.
Thanks for the tip!
PS Wow, you live in Hawaii, I've always wanted to go there!

You are welcome : ) I love NY!
I have seen soooo many doctors over the years for anxiety etc...but this doctor has made me soo much better! The accupuncture helps a lot and the chinese herbs for my liver have made 95% of my dizziness go away. In Chinese medicine when the liver is stagnant a person feels dizzy, anxious, depressed and has headaches........that was me........interesting and amazing : )

Coco...Just feel a need to ask...How in the world could someone who lives in such a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place as Hawaii, have any type of anxiety at all???
Just curious...Since, I have always thought of Hawaii as the most peaceful, content, soothing place anyone on this earth could live!!!
I have never been there, but, it has always been at the very top of my "wish list" as one of the places, which I would love to go!!!
You are sooo fortunate to live with such beauty surrounding you all the time!!!
Please respond to this...I just need to know!!!
I think of Hawaii...as some type of "paradise"...Are these thoughts realistic???
What is Hawaii really like?

Hi, interesting question!
There is trouble in paradise. Well, on a positive note Hawaii is amazing! When you live here you get addicted to the beauty, the vibrant colors, the ocean, flowers, gorgeous warm evenings etc... however, life is life..........relationships, finances, work, health, family etc... but living here there are many ways to nurture yourself, heal yourself.......ways to calm oneself etc... I know for me personally the sun and weather help me a lot. I would not do well in a dark gloomy place.
I hope that answers your question : ) What is it like in Kentucky? I imagine rolling hills and greenery.

Coco...There are definitely lots of hills and trees here...LOL
I do enjoy nature, so, I guess you could say that I do love my home state...
It just seems like to me that Hawaii would be some type of dream land state!!!
I love vivid colors...And, I don't care at all for gloomy weather, nor winter!!!
I know that I would love Hawaii!!! I imagine myself being there all laid back on the beach watching as the waves roll in...LOL
Me and my "vivid imagination"...That is me!!!
I think of that song "Almost Paradise" when I think of Hawaii!!!
Thanks for responding...Have a great night's rest...God Bless
