Any ideas how I would go about finding a support group in real life for this? I'm not currently seeing a therepist or anything.

You might try the Anxiety Disorders Association of America website:

I don't know about Gaithersburg, but the largest newspaper in my state lists a special section every Thursday and sometimes on Sunday for support groups. There are support groups for just about everything, including depression and anxiety. If your newspaper isn't helpful, call progressive church groups. They always have a handle on what's available, and they have an opinion on the better groups. Also, if you really want to try therapy (for free) most universities where post grads are doing field work for psychology and counseling will have programs that line you up with an intern.
