Hello All,
I'm newer to this, and haven't ever posted something before. But, I'm taking a risk and just asking for some positive feedback please.
I'm on session 9 now, and this entire program is so positive and wonderful, but at the same time, I still have a lot of anxiety. (I'm not looking for suggestions on medication or anything like that), but I'm just wondering, has anyone experienced anxiety still in session 9?
I know there's hope, but can someone please tell me that there is a light at the end of the tunnel? I guess I'm just discouraged. I wish the anxiety were gone! But I'm sure we all wish that. Encouragement would be wonderful! Thanks everyone.

P.S. I hope I put this post in the right section!

Welcome Alyssa.
It is COMPLETELY normal to still feel anxiety.
i have had the program for about three years now and I am redoing it a third time right now.
I still have days where I am anxious.
It takes tons of practice and patience to change this bad habit and that is absolutely what anxiety is! A. Bad. Habit!
You will feel less anxious once you allow yoursefl to FEEL it. When we FIGHT it, We make it stay.
The whole saying "What you Resist, Persits!"
Its true!
Be compassionate to yourself and give yourself credit for how far you've come!
You on Session 9. Mpre than halfway through.
I just don't see how anyone who has this program could go back to square one. It teaches you too much.
I am getting much more out of it this thrid time than I ever have and next week I am getting on a plane from Detroit to california by MYSELF!
Even with a flight change.
Am I scared? Yes.
Am I going to do it? Yes
Will I die? No. At least not from anxiety =)
I will do this because I so want to face my fears and most of them are thoughts about me not being able to handle things.
I can. and I will.
All in due time.
Keep on with what your doing. Your doing Awesome!!
Celebrate your getting to session 9!!
Yay!
Take care,
Lisa

Alyssa and Lisa,
I've had the tapes for years and am still practicing! Lisa is right, keep plugging on, its gets better in tiny spurts, sometimes you don't even realize your getting better, until someone says something or you start feeling better inside. Thats when you start seeing the brand new you blooming into something wonderful.
Take care, Suzzie

Yes, I am actually on session 14! I am unfortunately still experiencing anxiety in teh form of body symptoms which i had from teh beginning. some days are better and some weeks are worse, but i am learning that it is ALL about how i react to these body symptoms, whether i will perpetuate them or not. other aspects of my anxiety are much better. A.Nepper, have you seen any aspect improving?

I completely agree.
Oftentimes I view anxiety as such a selfish thing (not that we are being conciously selfish, but all I do is keep thinking about MY fears and problems). As such, it is challenging to truly get a sense of where you have come from and how you have progressed.
Like suzzie says, I had my landlord and an old friend both tell me how nice it was to see me smile. That at first threw me for a loop (What, I never smiled before?), but after that initial barrage, I settled and it made me feel really good for my progression that others have noticed my positive change.
And best of all, not only does it make me feel good, but now I want more!
