Thanks Mike for the reply. I am very proud of my successes so far and have worked hard to get to this point. My life is coming together a little each day and will not settle for less than my best.
The smoking is likely going to be harder as I get into the 5 a day limit but I will do this. I'm not puting pressure on myself but am setting realistic goals for each week. Wish me luck!!

BELIEVE YOU CAN CONQUER ANYTHING~ AND YOU WILL !! I DID IT, YES !!!!!

My best advice for the stopping of smoking would be to do the tic marking for a few days. It brings the stress down sooooooo much. For the times you cannot get over a negative thought then go beat up a pillow or buy some really cheap glasses and whip them at the ground (in extreme cases!), I know it is possible with the program because I've done it 3 years ago. I know you can do it

I have a long list of things that bring me up...
Listening to and singing along with great, loud music in my car. It's one of the only places (with three kids) that I can be alone. I can release most anything by singing it out.
I love warm sunshine on my bod. I lay out when I can during the summer and I'm trying to figure out how to afford a tan once a week during the dreary days of fall/winter.
I too love cooking a great meal. The smells, the chopping, the feel of the food. I feel even better when I've got time to really do it up right. Even better when I can sit down and have a glass of wine and my whole family enjoys the meal too.
I feel great after I get my hair cut. If there was a way to do this every day I'd be fine. lol
I have a totally different attitude when I get my hair cut. I feel beautiful and it shows in my face and my personality.
Shoot I have to go pick my son up from Karate I'll post more later.
Glad you're doing a positive post Mike... you are one wise guy and I don't mean in the funny way. Though looking at your pic I get the sense that you prob. have a wicked sense of humor?

I don't know how exactly this one works out for me but one of the things that lifts me up is being among this mess of anxiety sometimes and still being able to see the light. It's the feeling of hope and sheer joy that that light brings. It gives me strength to believe in myself and try harder to accomplish my goals to overcome these issues. I am excited about the end result!
I have a trip coming up for New Years and I didn't think I was stressed about it until something ELSE stressful happened and it triggered a whole pandora's box...but it's better it happened now, so I have the tools to go and ENJOY myself rather than have happened when it was too late and ruined another vacation!
I love my furbabies as well...i have a boxer and he's the biggest clown I've ever seen! Everything about him is HAPPY! And my cats...always willing to snuggle if I'm sad! The rabbits are nice companions too even if they're just sitting quietly in the room with me.
Spending time with my husband. ANY time we're together. I love him beyond words and he's done so much for me and just takes it in stride.
I love meditation/guided relaxation or even just relaxing Japanese flute music now...i'm learning the absolute joy and SEVERE BENEFIT of taking time EVERY day to relax. I never did before. I never slowed down, never gave my mind a minute to stop and regroup.
I love knowing i'm strong enough to accomplish my goals. This may sound a little obnoxious or conceited but I finally believe in myself and it's a good feeling.
I love to help others and it breaks my heart if I can't. I just want to make the whole world better! lol!
I paint which is a fantastic way to focus and relieve stress. I create illustration/cartoon mermaids and fairies and this is part of what I consider nurturing my inner child! I love my inner child!
I think thats it for now...I've taken up a lot of space! lol!

Great post!!! I'm trying to think more positively so this helps.
-Listening to rock music REALLY loud, idk why but it makes me feel strong and pumped
-The sun shining, it doesn't come out in the winter a lot so i get rly happy when it does
-Watching the movie pride and prejudice, its so romantic and leaves me with a smile
-My dog, when i'm not feeling too happy with myself she's always happy to see me
-Playing a song that i'm really good at on piano, i practice to play music so its a great payoff to hear something beautiful
-Working on my program, i always feel more positive after it
-Excercising, i've been doing a kickboxing program and it makes me feel strong and powerful
: )

Hey NinjaFrodo,
This is a great topic you came up with. What makes me HAPPY is when I cook supper for my girls and husband and we sit at the table together. I LOVE it when me and my husband get to laughing until I literally start to cry(tears of joy). I feel more MOTIVATED everytime I listen to one of my cd's from Lucinda. I feel PEACE when I read my bible. I get COMFORT in knowing I can not really go back to the person I was before this program.
Thank you Mike....I really needed that tonight. Hey! that ryhmed LOL

okay, to finish my list...
MY KIT ARRIVED TONIGHT!!!!! I'm stoked! That certainly brought up my mood. I'm a little tired tonight so I'll break it open tomorrow. I'm good tired tonight though not blah tired (there's a difference and we all know it).
Laughing hysterically with my kids and husband. Tonight we were sitting at the dining room table and my 3 yo said something about sitting. It doesn't quite come out like sit, more like sitting with an h. So we all started laughing even though we knew we shouldn't. Then while we are all laughing so hard we can't breathe my 13 yo says to the 3 yo, say I have to work on my ****. We were all howling. That was a high point today. If not morally then at least comic relief was occurring.
Spending a weekend away with my husband. When we just get to talk and be a couple with no responsibilities it's like a mini-honeymoon. It's wonderful.
Okay, I'll stop now even though there are probably 20 other things.

here's things that lift my spirits up....
driving @ sunset with no traffic and blasting and singing along (with gusto) to whatever song i'm in the mood to listen to at the time, be it rock, reggae or a hip hop song...
christmastime always because this is my most fave time of the year and i have an excuse to sing all my favorite christmas songs on karaoke...
when i've actually exercised instead of just planning it but not doing it...yes, those endorphins do work wonders and i do feel more energized and sleep better later that day...
going out to eat or have a few drinks with the people that i'm very close to and having a great time...
doing something for anyone knowing that its helped that person and made a difference in someway - be it in a miniscule or in a large way...
experimenting with new recipes and cooking them for my loved ones and seeing them enjoy it with so much pleasure...
everytime my nephew goes in to play with his football team at games (they're soooo cute in their little football uniforms lol)...
watching my favorite movies like "bridget jones".....the movie is sooooo hilarious because she's insecure, gets herself into these quirky predicaments and yet, comes out on top at the end....love it, love it, love it!!!
theres many more things but i'd bore you all to tears....LOL..LOL...
