Hello everyone,
I was on vacation all last week. We were at North Myrtle Beach and what a time we had! First time ever, I parasailed. It was fun, looking down at the water and feeling the breeze. I enjoyed it. Some of us went and fished on the pier, we didn't do so well the first day. I didn't catch anything. Then we went again and I caught a black sea bass 9" long and caught several other fish. Fist time ever, I went out on a charter boat with several other family members. We all caught fish, mainly black sea bass. I caught one 11 1/4" long. I enjoyed the day. First time ever, my daughter and I went on a helicopter ride. I wasn't scared. I was excited. We looked around and took pictures. It was really nice. I just had a great time. A few of us went to Wilmington to see the USS North Carolina Battleship. We had a good time. (anxiety) Well little spells here and there but self talk took care of it. It was one of those vacations where you can look back on it and feel good. Enjoy the memories, I'm sure I will for some time to come. I'm going through the program for the second time now. If I can encourage anyone or be of help to anyone, I would be glad to do so.

All my best to everyone on here,
Inside Man

:(I wish I could just get on the highway and drive 3 hours. How did you do it? What do you do to occupy your mind, because when I drive for so long I get bored and my mind starts playing tricks on me then I panic and get all weird like I want to pull over and run. what advice can you give to city bound girl

Hello DaDutchess,
Sorry I've taken so long to reply...life you know. Well let's start by saying I didn't drive. A lot of family members went and we took two vans, neither of which was mine. I'm also still working on my driving. I'm using the driving with comfort tape and the fear of driving program combined but I have been doing so well on the program and in general that I don't believe this will be a problem for me much longer. You said if you get bored your mind starts to play tricks on you, well I suggest sing along with a song on the radio or talk to whoever is with you and if you start to panic and get all weird like you want to pull over, then do so, big deal you pulled over. Just talk to yourself, calm and relax yourself, then get right back to driving. Pulling over is not that bad if you really think about it. Also let's say you had to call someone to come and get you. Well think about that for a minute. That's not that big of a deal either. Remember what you practice is what you get good at. So if you practice panicing, pulling over, wanting to run, that's what you will get good at. It's just a habit. Change the habit. Practice not panicing, pulling over, wanting to run, and that's what you will get good at. I hope I was able to help in some way.

All my best,
